I do not believe in...

...astrology, channeling, alien crop circles, alien abductions, bigfoot, dowsing, telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, psychic abilities, remote viewing, levitation, ghosts, psychic surgery, psychokinesis, graphology, phrenology, homeopathy, aromoatherapy, applied kinesiology, crystal healing, acupuncture, magnet therapy, qi, faith healing, feng shui, flower essence medicine, hypnotherapy, iridology, urine therapy, creation science/intelligent design, polywater, telekinesis, astral projection, mind control or possessions….. the list go on and on and on.

Pseudoscience and paranormal claims.

It’s as far as the world of science know, total and utter bunk. There is no proof whatsoever for any of these phenomenon/claims to exist as of today. All reliable tests have shown no effect, or only the well described placebo effect as a result, and the claims can be easily explained by science/natural laws/magic tricks.

Am I close-minded? No.

“But the believer, who likes to paint him or herself as open-minded and accepting of new possibilities, is actually extremely close-minded. After all, the irrefutable hypothesis is really saying “There is no conceivable piece of evidence that will cause me to change my mind!” This is true close-mindedness.” (Terence Hines - Pseudoscience And The Paranormal, page 14/15)

I only wish more people would stop for a second, and think, “can this really be true? Is there any other explanation for this?”

The fact that you can’t explain something does not necessary mean it is paranormal. And the lack of evidence for a natural phenomenon does NOT mean evidence for a paranormal one.
